BICHI! Badasses from Baja California, making sassy, spunky, distinctive wines from old-vines (100 años!)
POPULIS/LES LUNES! Northern California natural wine young guns with old-world souls, whose drinkable beauties frequent our list
LA GRANGE TIPHAINE! We absolutely adore the wines from husband and wife Damien & Coralie, third-generation makers in the Loire
Come meet them, taste their wines, and have a damn delicious time! $25 for a taste of everything + a glass of your favorite. No need to reserve; just come on by between 6:30 – 8:30. Whoohoo!

Join SCRIBE vintner Andrew Mariani for a Scribe Night at Botanica! He and his crew will be on hand with a selection of new Scribe releases, including the 2018 NOUVEAU of Pinot Noir. We’ll have a tasting of four Scribe beauties going down in the market ($25 for a taste of all four + a glass of your favorite!), and will be pouring them in the dining room all night long.
From its stunning Sonoma winery, Scribe is producing some of the most elegant wines coming out of California right now. They’re all non-interventionist, terroir-driven gorgeousness; we think they’re the tops, and we cannot wait to get our hands on the juicy, rosy, glou-glou freshness that NOUVEAU promises to be. This is going to be a fun, delicious night in celebration of good food, good wine & good people — and you should join!
Reserve your table now! Give us a call at (323) 522-6106 or book via Resy (and if you’re a member of the Scribe Viticultural Society, please mention upon booking).

The Lev, a pop-up bookstore featuring female and unrepresented authors, will be popping up at Botanica! Swing by from 10am – 2pm to shop some of our favorite titles and theirs, including cookbooks, novels, children’s books and more!

Join the authors of one of our favorite new books of the year, Wine Food — a collection of intensely delicious, outrageously enticing recipes to eat alongside natural wine. (“Glou-Glou Thai BBQ! Butternut Lamb Chili! Pomegranate-Roasted Carrots with Lentils, Labneh and Carrot-Top Zhoug!” These gals are speakin’ our food language.)
The exceptional taste and joie de vivre of authors Dana Frank + Andrea Slonecker jump off every page… so come by on Monday night to meet them, pick up a book, taste their wine (because they make wine, too! they do it all!), and bask in their general excellence.
They’ll be pouring their ‘Food Wine,’ a lively, juicy, friendly Pinot-Gamay blend from two organically farmed Willamette vineyards, as well as tastes of a few other picks from our list (beauties we don’t normally pour BTG, popped open just for you!).
No tickets or reservations required; just swing by from 5:30pm onward. They’ll be setting up camp in the market!

Raw Wine (a roving natural wine fair) is coming to town and bringing some of the world’s most marvelous winemakers with it. So, naturally, we thought we should celebrate with them. First up: on Saturday, November 11, from 6 – 8 pm, the makers behind Northern California’s much-obsessed-over (and rightfully so) La Clarine Farm are coming! They make wine as naturally as possible, from their chemical- and fertilizer-free vineyards to their additive-free cellar. Read more on their site and we promise you’ll want to hug them / drink all their wine, always and forever.
But wait, there’s more! Domaine Ligas is coming, too! This family-run vineyard in Northern Greece is producing some of the most special wines in the country, using beyond-organic agriculture, hand-harvesting, natural yeasts to create beautiful expressions of their terroir.
Saturday is going to be a WINE WINE PARTY PARTY, and we hope you’ll be there! Join us in the market from 6 – 8 pm; $20 gets you a taste of five wines (three from La Clarine, two from Domaine Ligas) and a glass of whichever you fancy. Plus we’ll be selling their bottles for 10% retail. CHEERS!

Sunday, November 12, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, winemaker Diego Roig from Les Lunes & Populis will join us in the market for a tasting of his wines – which are some of the most compelling coming out of Northern California right now.
We like to say that the Les Lunes/Populis makers are California natural wine young guns with old-world souls. They do everything themselves (they even built their own cellar); the resulting wines are lively and elegant, fresh and alluring. They’re blazing a trail into the future of California winemaking while honoring the past…and the results are delicious!
Come taste five of them on Sunday evening; $20 gets you sips of each and glass of your favorite (and we’ll be selling the bottles for 10% off retail, too!). Or come in for dinner after 7:30 and let Diego be your sommelier!

Snag your spot at FreyaProject.com/LA

David will be the guest of honor; he’ll be joining us to mingle, clink glasses and sign cookbooks (we’ll have them on hand to purchase).
